Crescent Stables also offers a comprehensive Riding School Program focusing on English Riding and Horsemanship, with the opportunity for more advanced riders to specialize in dressage or hunter/jumper training.
Crescent Stables has one of the largest selections of quality school horses in the area, with horses and ponies to suit all sizes and levels of experience.
Our number one priority is providing fun, safe and correct instruction for everyone. We cater to children and adults at all levels, from first time riders to A-circuit competitors. We also encourage our junior students to learn responsibility by helping with the horses, and we actively promote the development of empathy, conscientiousness and good peer relationships.
Lesson Options
Introductory lessons
Private instruction to develop a balanced seat at walk, trot and canter. Lessons also introduce basic horsemanship skills, including grooming, tacking up, and safe handling of horses and ponies.

Developing Riders
Riders who are ready to progress beyond the introductory program can choose between group, semi-private or private instruction. All of our Riding School Instructors hold Equine Canada certification or have the benefit of many years of teaching experience. We're sure to have an instructor and equine partner who are right for you!

- Semi-Private: 45 min $40
- Group: 1 hour $45

Personal Coaching
Crescent Stables is home to several advanced coaches who provide specialized training for hunter/jumper and dressage riders. Instruction is available on students' own horses or our school horses. Whether you are training for competition or simply seeking a "personal best," our coaches will tailor an individual learning plan to help you achieve your personal goals. Training with our advanced coaches can be in a group, semi-private or private format, at the coach's discretion. Individual programs can also be designed with Dr. Susan Thompson, who specializes in child psychology and sports performance counselling.
